The jump mechanic is inconsistent and irritating. I'm not offended by swearing (and if you are, definitely walk away from this title,) but this game offends me not by the words used, but the use of the words.
The single player mode is creative, but the "humor" is both run into the ground and really not funny to begin with.

NOTICE: THE REVIEW FROM THIS POINT IS FOR ONLY THE SINGLE PLAYER MODE OF THE FULL GAME. I find it interesting that the load screen always stops on the "Bull Shit" game splash screen during multiplayer - except when it is going to be that minigame. I've had hours of fun with friends playing through the myriad of minigames, and my friends that don't even like playing video games still enjoy this game. Multiplayer (especially Fiesta Mode for irresponsible adults) is fantastic. It's even better to know that the dev team is still working on new mini-games to come so this game will only get better. Some may miss the board game component (I do enjoy Mario Party) but nobody felt it was needed here. This is frantic and hilarious action, feeling a little like Drinking Game meets Mario Party, but without the board game component to slow down quick transitions between the many mini-games. This game usually sticks around for more of the night as it comes with in-game drinking rules that really add to the enjoyment (and drunken buffoonery). Several friends and I recently played using a combo of PS4 and wired XBOX controllers connected to my steam link and everyone had a great time.Īlong with "Mount Your Friends" and "Frog Climbers" this game has become a permanent addition to every gaming event I host, with everyone requesting at least a couple rounds of each game. 8Bit Fiesta is an excellent party game, a ton of fun with a group of friends (even those who don't usually play games).
